Law and Economics 1, Spring 2012
Course description:
The course aims to provide an in depth understanding of the economic analysis of the law. Throughout the course the emphasis lies on the interplay between economic incentives and the design of laws and contracts. The effects on economic efficiency and the distribution of resources are of particular interest. The course follows a traditional law and economics curriculum and includes discussions of property rights, transactions cost, contract theory, tort law, the legal process and crime and punishment.
