Short presentation

PhD in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in 2002. I have since worked at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) to which I am still affiliated, SITE at the Stockholm School of Economics, and have spent a year as a visiting researcher at the Booth School at the University of Chicago. Apart from teaching and doing research, I have served as a scientific advisor in various contexts and have an interest in popularizing economics, most clearly manifested in the blog Ekonomistas.se that has been running since 2008. Since 2014, I am on the board of Nationalekonomiska föreningen (the Swedish Economic Association).

Research interests

Having started my career doing research on international economics, financial markets and political economy, I have gradually developed an interest in corporate governance, labour economics, and the economics of education. Currently, my main research focus is on worker-firm sorting, assortative matching in the marriage market, school choice, and grading practices.

Current teaching

  • Intermediate Microeconomics (Undergraduate level), spring
  • Financial Development and Crises (Master's level), fall
