Do you want to study how people’s decisions influence society and the economy? Economics deals with how people make decisions and how those decisions impact the entire public economy.

Economics is a part of several bachelor programmes. You can also take individual courses within different fields; for example finance, development, labour, the climate and the economy, and international economics.
Our teachers are also researchers and many of them have commissions at e.g. the Riksbank, Finansutskottet, Marknadsdomstolen. We consider this to be important in order to connect our teaching to society in general.
As a student with us, you can take advantage of studying in the capital with the vicinity of public institutions and organisations.

You learn to think like an economist
Anna Seim is a professor and teacher at the Department of Economics. She thinks that studying economics provides a general education that is useful in many different contexts.
