Time permitting, the following topics will be covered:

  1. Introduction into the language of spatial econometrics, different geographic systems and projection methods
  2. Introduction into ArcGIS and getting familiar with widely used tools, data sources for geo-spatial data and visualization of data
  3. ArcGIS in Python, including multiprocessing

The course is not for credit and, although specific to ArcGIS, it will cover extensively streamlining of processes and problems one encounters when working with spatial data, regardless of the tool.

The course takes place in U35, the Geo-Science building.
