Microeconomic research at the department covers diverse areas but several projects have a law and economics theme, including work on monitoring and targeting of enforcement, with applications to environmental policies and antitrust, industrial-organization applications to intellectual-property and competition law, and payment schemes for police services. Other microeconomic research projects relate to social norms and network theory.
