Research within the field of public economics at the department covers theoretical and empirical work on issues related to public-good provision and the design of public policy. Many current projects exploit the universe of Swedish micro data, and the exogenous variation induced by recent reforms, to estimate the effects of taxes and other policies on various outcomes.
